10 Wealth Building Experts You Need to Follow
You’ll recognize most of them. Some of the others mentioned here will surprise you, until you learn more about them, read their blogs, follow their “Tweets”, and watch your portfolio grow larger by the day because of their advice.
1. Warren Buffett
There are tons of copycat Twitter accounts for this man. The world’s 4th richest person (source) has willed his wealth to charity when he dies. His blog is updated VERY frequently, though it wouldn’t be much of a stretch to assume he’s probably too busy to bother himself with even half the material that gets posted. Still, the blog talks about what he’s doing, the stocks he recommends, and offers plenty of authority links to information you can use to become wealthy.
2. Jim Cramer
Ever seen the CNBC’s “Mad Money”? Everyone knows Cramer and his trademark “booyah” from the show. He’s one of the few investment advisors and market profilers on television that can actually make the often dry subject matter of investing interesting. He blogs daily on: Real Money. Check out his very active Twitter profile. Not the richest investment expert in the world, but you’ll always learn something from Cramer. Booyah!
3. Donald Trump
“The Donald” is an active twitterite but he’s far too busy to maintain a blog. This guy has been sued for more money than most of the world’s billionaires have ever dreamed of earning in a lifetime. Next to Warren Buffet, his forceful opinions and antics make for regular subject matter on big sites like Forbes. Tune in to your television to see him on “The Apprentice” and “The Celebrity Apprentice”. His shows are really a free tutorial on how to (and how not to) build a business. He teaches millionaires how to become billionaires, but even the up and comer can gleen great advice from what he teaches.
4. Robert Kiyosaki
The Rich Dad Poor Dad magnate has a rags to riches story to offer, and has proven he knows how to build wealth, primarily through real-estate investing. He also knows everything there is to know about the stock market and angel investing. His Twitter is worth a follow. His radio show is always entertaining and insightful. You can find everything at Richdad.com, including free investment ebooks and his interactive Cashflow Technologies game.
5. Kevin O’Leary
He’s a billionaire investor, with a no-nonsense style that isn’t encumbered by personal opinions, compassion, or fluff. Kevin doesn’t have a regular blog you can follow. But he does have a very active Twitter account, and he’s all over the television these days. “The Lang and O’Leary Exchange” is a great show, offering tons of investment advice, and personal opinions on both national and global finance topics from O’Leary. You can also catch him on “The Shark Tank”, “Dragon’s Den”, and “Project Earth”.
6. Mark Cuban
He isn’t the richest man in the world, but he might be one of the most entertaining bloggers among the rich and wealthy of the world. His blog talks about wealth-building topics galore, but he doesn’t shy away from sharing other things like his legal battles, patent issues, his basketball team “The Mavericks”, and his opinions about celebrities and other influential people. His Tweets are also legendary.
7. Joshua M. Brown
The “Reformed Broker” gives awesome daily investment advice. Brown works for the very swanky and prestigious Ritzholtz Wealth investment company who deal with high-value clients only. Though this guy’s a lesser-known in the investment community, he also offers a lot more advice than the big dogs do. Considering who he works for, you can trust him just as much as you would the Warren Buffets of the world. He’s also a trusted contributor to sites and television programs like Forbes, Wall Street Week, CNN, CNBC, His Twitter is very active.
8. Paul Kedrosky
Like Brown, Kedrosky is a trusted advisor with many of the top investment-related television programs and websites like Bloomberg.com. His Twitter is constantly updating with tidbits of useful news and investment tips. He’s done everything in the financial world from analyst, public and private equity investments, to angel investing โ and has a Ph.D in the Economics of Technology. His site is very active with postings, and there are tons of contributors who know just as much as Kedrosky does about investing and wealth building.
9. Mark Dow
You might feel a little weird taking advice from anyone who uses Tumblr to share their information. However, Mark Dow is the real deal, and he offers monthly posts on trends that investors really want to know about: the gold and silver exchange, market trends, employment data, avoiding scams โ and plenty more. Check out his Twitter. He’s a hedge fund manager, IMF policy economist, and go-to expert used by CNN, MSNBC and many others.
10. Simon Lack
Simon is the creator of and former CEO of JP Morgan’s “Incubator Funds“, and at his peak was responsible for managing $300 million dollars of investments, and allocating over $100 billion to JP Morgan’s various hedge fund managers. His SL-Advisors blog is updated with daily posts, touching on everything from investing to global economics. His Twitter isn’t much to speak of โ always interesting when he posts, but not that often unfortunately.
